(Drawing the eyes slightly lower gives a more childlike appearance, while drawing them higher creates a more mature impression.) 2) Relationship Between the Ears and Eyes The upper base of the ear aligns with the extension of the outer corner of the eye. The lower base of the ear aligns with the extension of the nose. 3) Profile Structure Round faces have a rounded forehead and a shorter E-line. Square faces have a slightly straight forehead and a longer E-line. 4) The Side of the Face When drawing a profile or a side view, focusing on the “side” of the face helps stabilize the position of the eyes.
