(1) Your are not invisible. Your kindness and positivity are making an impact both IRL and online. Keep at it! We are rooting for you!! (2) Both as an adult and a student, not being able to afford food can be embarrassing and food insecurity is real. Glad we are in a state where all kids will still get food tho. IDK if that is the same throughout the nation. You should still go back and get food if you see something you like. Just re-up your acct (if you have means) or keep emergency cash on hand for emergency lunch days. (3) For real!!! Set up an Amazon list for frequently used classroom supplies! (4) Lastly do t forget to take care of you. When they do the emergency speech at the beginning of a flight, they always say to put the oxygen mask on yourself before putting it on others. You need to take the time and resources to replenish YOU (in terms of nourishment, rest, and finance)!

Lunch Lady here, and kids get the exact same meal as others. And never would I ever turn away a teacher, they can bring it in the next day! I’m so so sorry this happened to you. It’s so beyond wrong!
