I think it includes culture as well. a lot of white men cling to cultures like cowboy culture knowing it started by mexican and black people, or viking culture when they're not even Nordic, so they want to have culture attachments but end up choosing the 'cooler' ones and end up feeling nothing from them compared to say latino men who are very open and proud of their cultures and traditions. that's why I believe a lot of American white men end up boiling down themselves to 2 specific cultures, cowboy or viking, and end up just being more miserable in the end bc they aren't bothering to actually research their real culture bc it's not 'cool enough', ya get what I mean? like cowboy and viking culture are very much shown as masculine and tough and macho, so they cling to the more 'masculine and cool' cultures
