I have red that from 2007 on my ankle. It is still super bright & solid. I don’t know if it’s the type of ink that was used or if my body just likes red, but it still looks fabulous. 🤷🏻♀️

my very first tattoo was a set of cherries on the backside of my ankle I got it at 19, I’ll be 40 this year. They’re sooo faded even being on a spot that hardly gets any sun. I have no plans to cover them or get them touched up. It was my first one, it’s aging with me.

Fun fact😁 red is the most photoreactive tattoo Ink we use so the pigment breaks down faster than any other pigment Luckily, the inks have removed things like cadnium and iodine from red. So it is a little better with things like stevia, making the pigment 😁 I love your content

I'm pretty sure that as time goes on, tattoo inks keep getting better and better in terms of quality. That being said, every tattoo is going to fade no matter the color; I say embrace it, because it tells the story of you 😁

So, im almost 60 & just got my first tattoo (just black) & have an appt booked for my next one already. Im getting a birth flower bouquet (6 diff flowers). Im waffling btwn just black & color. Do i care what it will look like when im 80? Meh, idk.

I was a hair stylist for years, this is even true for haircolor, red doesnt last. In hair, they say the red color molecules are larger and just dont hang.
