Going to the Blue Lagoon at midday 🚫 Between 11am–3pm it gets extremely crowded. The water is still beautiful — but the experience isn’t. Go early (before 9am) or later in the afternoon. 2. Assuming Malta is only beaches 🌊 A lot of people come focused only on the sea and completely miss places like Mdina, the Three Cities, or the cliffs on the west coast — which are some of the most memorable parts of the island. 3. Renting a car without understanding parking 🚗 In areas like Sliema and Valletta, parking can take longer than the drive itself. If you’re staying central, Bolt/Uber is often easier. 4. Doing only Valletta and skipping the rest 🏰 Valletta is amazing — but it’s just one part of Malta. Gozo, Comino, and the south coast completely change your experience. 5. Booking the cheapest boat tour you find ⛵ Some boats are overcrowded with limited stops. A slightly better option can completely change your day at sea.
