Let’s please do away with the term “reactive abuse” completely. It is the opposite of what’s intended. It victim-blames. I work with abusers- they all think their abuse was reactive.

I’m definitely on the receiving end of the yelling, swearing, and aggression. Not to say that I’m not contributing to the conflict. I do try to understand and also want my experience to be heard. But it escalates so quickly and there’s usually no repair afterwards.
