@luxetravelchats: This one catches even experienced travelers off guard… You’re in your hotel room… relaxing… and the phone rings. It says “Front Desk.” It sounds professional. It feels routine. But it’s not always the hotel. This is one of the fastest-growing travel scams right now… and it’s happening in real hotel rooms, not just online. Here’s how it works: A caller pretends to be the front desk…asks you to “reconfirm” your payment or card details… and creates urgency so you don’t think twice. But here’s the truth… 🚫 Hotels will NOT call your room asking for sensitive payment information 🚫 Legit staff will NEVER pressure you over the phone 🚫 That “internal call”? It can be spoofed The safest move is simple… and powerful: 👉 Hang up immediately 👉 Walk down to the front desk yourself 👉 Speak to staff in person No exceptions. Because the most dangerous travel scams today… don’t look like scams at all. They look normal. They sound convincing. And they rely on catching you in a relaxed moment. Awareness is what protects you. Save this before your next hotel stay…share it with someone you travel with…and follow for smarter luxury travel tips.
