Everyone who has ocd, look into TMS. They have a h7 coil that completely gets rid of it. And it lasts for years. You get maintenance done. It has to do with circuits being overactive. The machine basically resets them. Medications raise serotonin levels and dopamine levels which have nothing to do with ocd

there's always news about improvements but the treatments leg behind by decades. schizophrenics have a new medicine but it took many years for it to happen

because the feedback loops in this system are so complex, it's hard to know whether going one step back will be any better than two steps forward or no steps at all. Fucking with acetylcholine seems like it could be just as messy as fucking with serotonin. What seems more plausibly better would be to find a good peptide hormone like orexin or CRH to target, since those are far more narrow.

they dont know what causes it so there cant be a cure. there are only treatments to help with the anxiety and depression. the other drugs are just ones that may help.

Is this going to send me into a manic episode or na? Nothings working I’ve just been referred to a psychiatrist and I also might have cancer which is absolutely great… thanks to the gp that kindly told I may have it, to a person with extreme OCD🤸
