I have stage three Hidradenitis in my groin area. I’m wondering if you have ever heard of it before? I wish you were my pain provider:) thank you for your videos.

thank you💯I'm heading to mayo in next few months to get full body diagnosis. I feel so fortunate wish it could be done before neck surgery but they're prob isn't a way? I'll be calling Monday. I'm temporarily set to go two days after neck fusion prob not the best but my neck fusion surgeries aren't a big deal at all

If research evolves quickly it’s not reaching primary care. My pain gets significantly worse with taper not better. What does that tell you?

I’m really glad you clarified how you put your videos together. It’s good to know. You’re actually doing some research before you put out a post.

ahem , it's why we had the US.Medical library and why we lost it to net neutrality.

I really feel like there’s not enough research being done into pain at least not into treatment that work for people in pain. I have been in pain management for 14 to 15 years and instead of there being more options there’s less. I can’t have steroids injected into my joints without having systemic problems there used to be other anti-inflammatory and inexpensive options that lasted. Now the companies no longer make those drugs for people. One is still available for veterinary use, and the other one has been discontinued altogether. Also, there are a lot less drug manufacturers for one of the prescriptions I take. It’s down to three and only one of them is halfway decent. Back about eight years ago there was one company that made a transdermal patch that worked, and it adhered to the skin better than all these other patches. Every time I ask my doctor if there’s anything new that he can try, there’s nothing available unless I’m willing to pay out-of-pocket for stem cell treatment. He actually tried it in his knee joint and it didn’t help him. My biggest issue is my back, but also it’s the instability of my joint and the pain of them constantly moving in and out of place. I have some joints that have fused and I have others that are hypermobile and subluxate. I think part of my problem is that I not only have genetic conditions, but I have auto immune conditions. It is taken me two decades to build a decent team of doctors but pain is still what affects my quality of life the most. Most days my pain is so bad it causes nausea and vomiting. Also, you’re still able to work and afford to pay to access the journals. Since I’m no longer working, I don’t really qualify anymore for access to Medscape, Jamma, New England Journal medicine, etc. I certainly can’t afford to pay for access.

double blind studies are considered the gold standard. Look closely at statistics and the N values. When the study sites 20% look at whether it is 20% of the whole study pool or just a subset. Look at other factors such as gender, age, race, and other categories. Remember, there is always room for error
