@em.allcreative: This messed with my head more than I expected… 🤯 This feeling of not believing this is a “real job” is something I had never experienced in myself until I started doing UGC. Filming at home, editing on my sofa, working from a café. I had seen other people do it, but for me, it didn’t feel real. It felt like I didn’t deserve this kind of “easy” work. My whole life, I felt like I had to do more, be more, push harder just to feel valuable. So sitting at home, creating content, not rushing, receiving products, setting my own terms… part of me kept thinking: “this can’t be it” “I should get a real job.” EVEN WHEN I was getting paid. 😲 And I don’t know if I can fully explain this, but if you’ve felt it, you’ll understand. I had to actually teach myself that this is real work. And even now, sometimes when something feels “too easy,” I catch myself trying to make it more complicated just to feel like I’ve earned it. Like WHAAAAAT??? 🫠 That’s how deeply we’re programmed. Building this business didn’t just teach me skills. It made me face parts of myself I didn’t even realise were there.
