To those commenting that Indians are Bengali. There’s a region in India, West Bengal that are also Bengali in the ethnic sense as they both speak the same language and share similar cultural traditions. My family’s from Bangladesh and are ethnically identified as Bengali hence the video, but TECHNICALLY we’d be called Bangladeshi based solely off nationality. But ethnically, we are all fam 🫶🏾

Idk why I would’ve assumed Bengali was a regional ethnic identity versus a nationality . I guess because in English according to the naming convention it would make sense to an English speaker that it would be “Bangladeshi” or “Bangladeshian”. I’ve just assumed that the whole time this video was informative ! Where does the name Bengali come from like the roots ?
