I have stage two liver cirrhosis, sober seven years. Having any type of common sense would tell you why she didn’t stop drinking. Alcohol Use Disorder is a real thing. In active addiction our brain screams at us 24/7 to drink. It doesn’t stop, it doesn’t let up. Some types of alcoholics can successfully stop if the reason is big enough, (spouse leaving, children cutting ties, a DUI, a doctor, etc). Then there’s type three alcoholics. We will keep going u til we are blessed with our rock bottom. It doesn’t have to be drastic. It doesn’t make sense because we are not in our right minds….obviously ‼️‼️‼️No one wakes up and chooses this horrific nightmare,.
