hi! I am in the process of writing my bachelor thesis in fashion studies and I wonder if you have any previous works that I could read? I just don’t seem to find your name, it would be really helpful to use your perspective or maybe someone else’s that you would recommend! thank you ☺️

Curious about the line between patina=cool vs “that looks an old lady wearing old clothes” what makes the difference between cool and not cool?

have you spent any time looking at counter culture wear like punk fashion? I feel like punk fashion embodies the "feminine" concept of sticking out for perception purposes, as you describe? I think punk fashion also embodies that "authenticity of petina" that you talk about as well. my jean vest I wore, that I hand studded and sewed can carry that level of authentic and individually youre looking at. not to mention that as a counter culture, punk is pretty poor monetarily which guides fashion choices towards thrifted and already used clothing stores and military surplus stores. it's been a long time since I've worn that vest, but every once in a while I'll wear it, and it doesn't feel strange or out of place at all because I wore it for so long. it's essentially a "retired" piece of my wardrobe, but still domesticated in my mind. loving this concept and conversation. I wonder if jewelry or tattoos and other forms of bodily adornment play in a similar space of "domestication"
