@passiveonpurpose: Here’s the deal… I was feeling stuck in my career. I didn’t just want something new, I wanted something different. Something new would mean a new job, working for a new boss. Hopefully I would like them. Hopefully they would like me. But given enough time, inevitably, either I would move on or they would. And once again, I’d be working for a new boss. And once again I’d be hoping that we got along. You know how a single person at work can completely ruin your day? And if they’re toxic, they can ruin your entire experience in that role. We’ve all been there, but only a few of us are willing to do something about it. Well I did something about it. I decided that my day, my career, my happiness, were no longer going to be decided upon by anyone but me. And so I took the leap. I built something on the side until it replaced my income. Now I’m only capped by myself. Not the job market, not the company, and certainly not a boss. There’s no stopping me and it’s only going to get better from here.
