@californiacurated: California High-Speed Rail: Bold Vision or Billion-Dollar Boondoggle? California’s high-speed rail was pitched as a transformative project: a 494-mile electric train linking San Francisco and Los Angeles in under three hours. Nearly two decades later, the reality is more complicated. Costs have surged from $33 billion to as much as $130 billion. Construction began controversially in the Central Valley, where over 80 miles have been built and more are underway. No trains are running yet, but track installation is beginning. Is this the future of transportation, or a costly misstep still searching for momentum? #california #losangeles #CAHSR #highspeedrail #californiaHSR #centralvalley
So if they ever finish it … what will a ticket cost?

Do they went into this without a certified design, no vendor support, an no land procured. And nobody wants to ho from Bakersfield to Merced. Yeah, nonstop from SF to LA may take 3 hours but all the stops in between will slow it to probably 6 to 8 hours.
