I only really annotate for school and this is the system I have found works for me, mostly it's based on how books make me feel because that's how I judge most of the media I consume.

Have you ever read Ulysses? Reading it rn and it’s undoubtedly the hardest book I’ve ever touched and likely ever will touch. Curious if you’ve read it and if so wha your thoughts were on them. Glad to see someone else who loves annotating as much as I do, always worry I use too many tabs lol

I’ve seen so much hate for people who annotate the lines they like rather than just for deciphering and interpreting every word in a sentence. I’ve never really understood why people think there are rules for annotating; it’s just some writing in a book.
