If you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all. Especially if you don’t have a special needs child. Saying you wouldn’t have patience or I could never doesn’t help. It’s already hard enough for us to try and make sure they get involved rather than being stuck at home. Yes taking them out might be a lot but it’s good for them even if it doesn’t seem like it. My daughter also has a hard time going out but that doesn’t stop us. Autism kids should experience just as much fun as other kids. God gave us parents special kinda patience. Instead of saying that maybe give the parents some grace and respect. They are nice enough to share their story and experience so others know they aren’t alone.
