not bad, but adding the pictures does give them the ability to guess the words rather than decode them all. not saying this is not a good resource, but double check their reading without the pictures to make sure they actually got it

Cover up the pics first. Have your child read the word and then act out what they read, then uncover it and see if they were right.

I used to do this same thing when my kids were little but with index cards… A LOT of work making them! At least these are durable & well made. 😅

This is a great way to teach reading. But definitely go back and use these for teaching vocabulary. And have students write them in sentences, even if it's short sentences for younger learners. Literacy is tied to reading, vocabulary and comprehending how to use words in a sentence.
