The only time I end up feeling like things get awkward is when I meet someone. I never know what to do, hug or wave or handshake or whatever. It’s worse when we see each other from a ways a way and were just staring while we inch towards each other.

I'm part of the 20%, and I agree. I also don't think it's gender exclusive. I know many men have talked about how women don't ask questions on the dating apps, for example. I also think that instead of being straight rude or avoidant, a middle ground could just be pointing out what the man is doing like how you're doing on this tiktok. People can learn and grow without people being rude to them 🤷

So I’m a man I get and agree w everything but just to put some nuance in the first part about ”having a monologue” I totally agree that it’s rude if you don’t know each other/ aren’t friends but I don’t think that maybe it could be like a safe space for some men to talk about things that they don’t feel secure w w the ppl in their life and I think that honestly many more ppl should talk more about their passions w ppl they trust bc it’s healthy (obv they should make space by asking questions to the other as well and letting the other person “take the stage”, but I also feel as though women should be able to feel comfortable in having “monologues” or taking up space in convos cause it’s so important! And I think that 2 long “monologues” do make a dialogue. Just putting my take on that part. Sorry if I misunderstood or misinterpreted the way you were describing it. But I totally agree w the message/vid and don’t mean to belittle!
