@foryourearzonlyy: Denzel Curry feat. Twelve’len & GoldLink - BLACK BALLOONS | 13LACK 13ALLOONZ (2018) 🎈🖤 Black balloons floating overhead as a symbol for pain and depression—Denzel turns that heavy metaphor into a smooth, melodic banger that contrasts light vibes with dark themes. From TA13OO (Act 1: Light), released July 2018 as part of the trilogy rollout, this track stands out for its catchy chorus and features that add layers: Twelve’len on the ethereal hook, GoldLink bringing slick energy. Produced by FnZ, Matt Rad, and Mickey de Grand IV, the beat is warm and bouncy with synths and a floaty groove that lets the “let it float” refrain breathe, while Denzel’s verses unpack mental struggles, experiences, and the hope that “soon black balloons pop / that’ll be the day the pain stops.” The official music video (directed with visuals by Zev Deans initially, full version 2019) takes a surreal, cinematic turn: Denzel signing a tempting contract, diving into a freaky circus world of evil temptations, vibrant colors clashing with dark undertones—perfectly capturing the song’s duality of allure and inner turmoil. It’s a standout from one of Denzel’s most acclaimed projects, blending introspection with replay value. Who’s felt those black balloons lately?
