@awakeningwithbrian: You heal in relationship to others, not by them soothing you or healing you, but by them exposing your wounds just by simply being themselves. And you will do this for them whether they like it or not. In fact all of life is getting you in touch with yourself, especially the parts that you hate to feel and look at.

Disagree. Work on yourself before entering a relationship. Moving from one relationship to the next is just carrying hurt and trauma from one place to the next. We need to unload and heal before settling with someone else again. Within relationships we should still continue to grow and work on self improvement but don't enter a relationship carrying too must from the past! being "healed" by someone else is just setting yourself up for more pain and hurt. and remember... hurt people, hurt people.

What he is saying is you will heal outside of a relationship but when in a relationship it will expose the cracks that were simply just covered up

You can’t get TRIGGERED if you’re alone. You can heal sure some parts but you can’t heal it all because only with someone else your deepest shadows insecurities past hurt will come up because you are triggered. Whom you’re jelous of if you don’t even text with someone ?. A healthy relationship heals all your wounds . Takes time but the right person will stay because when you love someone is the easiest thing to do

I totally disagree! In most cases, the relationship adds to the issues by playing on the issues versus healing them. Constant drama can lead to heart attachs and strokes more often than being alone. When we are alone, we can learn to relax. and with relaxation we can learn to heal ourselves! With relaxation and time we can grow if we are willing to do the work. And if the chose not to do the work, then thats their decision! If some one else pushes us to learn before we are ready, they just get regected. Nothing in this video is true!

Note: your partner is not supposed to be your therapist, BUT a healthy relationship can HELP you heal your unhealed parts. But ONLY if YOU are doing the work to heal yourself!! Nobody can do it FOR you. You need to want to heal and show up when it needs work.

I agree with this, my husband helped show me my bad qualities. I was raised to act a certain way and didnt realize how toxic it was. he showed me I can heal and that he'll love me FOREVER!!

Do all the healing you CAN do before getting into relationship. Some things you just cannot heal by yourself. And the right partner will help you, but you gotta put in the work too

This was very revealing for me, I think that I am finally at a point where I see that I still have to work to do and it’s ok to be a work in progress. As long as your open to change, self-aware, and finding who you are being in a relationship an just existing in it without stressing so much about what you picture things to be.

Exactly. It reveals and amplifies what isn't healed. But some times you do need to integrate and heal certain aspects to not get yourself in a loop. Getting into a relationship right after you broke up is for example worst thing to do.

you have to heal at least 60% alone, the rest that is left with a partner who also wants to heal, on the same arh, direction etc

@cartoon: Unhealed wounds + lack of awareness = high chance of hurting someone. Self-awareness + accountability + communication = possibility of a healthy relationship, even if healing is ongoing.

SO WRONG: When someone enters a new relationship without having processed the previous one, there’s a real risk that they’re looking more for emotional relief than a genuine connection. In that case, the other person can end up playing an unfair role: like a “remedy,” a “distraction,” or a “bridge”, even if it’s not intentional.

I fully agree, you can do the work to heal but guarantee you do it all, your next relationship will show you you still have work to do. how can you say you've healed if you dont put it into practise. its like doing homework and not handing it in

No, you don't enter relationship to heal. It can help but you heal for yourself.

Healing can happen in both places. Learning and understanding and putting in the work matters when you’re alone and when you’re in a relationship. You can be fine alone and still see the wounds when you’re together. But the focus is to accept learn and grow and to love unconditionally
