@yoursurvivalguide_holly: This will ruffle some feathers🪶 1. “It’s just common sense” Then why do people fall apart the second they’re uncomfortable? 2. “Gear will save you” Gear buys you time… Skills are what actually keep you alive. 3. “You’ll figure it out when it happens” That’s usually when people realise they can’t. 4. “The bush is dangerous” The bush is predictable, your lack of experience isn’t. 5. “Survival is extreme” Most of it is just awareness… which people avoid. 6. “You only need the basics” People say this like they’ve actually mastered them. 7. “It’s the same as being homeless” One is a skill set. One is a circumstance. They’re not the same thing. 8. “You have to be tough to survive” You have to be adaptable. Even the toughest people break 9. “I’d just watch a video” Watching it and doing it are two very different things. 10. “I could do it if I had to” Maybe… But that’s a risky time to find out.
