@angatbuhaypinas: A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FOR ILOILO'S WASTE WORKERS For decades, the Calajunan Sanitary Landfill in Iloilo City has been a source of livelihood for hundreds of families who collect recyclable materials to support their daily needs. But with the landfill set to close by 2027, more than 200 waste workers will need new ways to sustain their livelihoods. Through the EU-PH Green Economy Partnership, Project SALOG will support the Uswag Calajunan Livelihood Association (UCLA) by helping waste workers turn the materials they collect into better livelihood opportunities such as plastics recycling, composting, and upcycling used tarpaulins into products that can be sold.
