OK, so this sounds like a complicated situation right because so many people in the comments are saying that there was a boot on the car and if in fact, there was a boot on the car removing that boot is illegal so I understand that, but you asked him what he was doing and while he’s answering your arresting him or detaining him that within itself is not allowed you searched him. You’re not allowed to do that you searched his vehicle. You are also not allowed to do that I don’t know this seems like a lot of things that we’re not allowed to happen that happened and again I’m not justifying his actions if he wasn’t factor removing the boot off his car then he deserves to be charged for that but charging him with obstruction of justice is insane because you do not you are not obligated to provide your name or date of birth to a cop. It’s not an obligation they can ask you do not have to provide it just like you do not have to answer any questions so I’m not really sure how he was obstructing justice because we asked civilians are in no way shape or form obligated to help you conduct your investigation or help you with your investigation in any way 😂
