I work for Presbyterian and it's actually an amazing place to work. We do have great doctors but we can't keep doctors because this State is awful. Presbyterian is also helping employees go back to school for LPN or BSN and partnered up with a school to help us achieve this. They are also telling managers that THEY MUST work with our schedules to help us accomplish this. It's an amazing place to work and our new leadership is raising the bar with patient care and so much more. I defended this company because they really are a great company. Every company in the nation is struggling and it's because insurance reimbursement isn't that high and self-pay patients don't always pay (they are also NEVER denied care here at Presbyterian).

They lost so much $$$ is because they lost sole insurance coverage for city Albuquerque and Rio Rancho, county Bernalillo, Sandoval, and Valencia and state employee medical insurance. I may be wrong but I believe that .as have a big reason why.

This is every hospital in the nation. I do not work there but I do know they have the best pay for nurses in New Mexico compared to the other hospitals

The hospital billing dept never provided my insurance with a detailed hospital stay report for my emergency surgery and my insurance provider called them a handful of times. They never provided and therefore never got paid.

they updated their billing system at the end of 2024 and to this date are still trying to recoup. The question I have and like someone mentioned if you don't get billed for service in a timely manner do they pay including themselves. The for profit side in the system is owned by outsiders.

So in 2023, I went to work for Duke city primary care. The owner told us he used to work for Pres and opened his facilities. Problem was he literally told us that they have zero money and Pres is going to get bought out.

Our Healthcare system us so broken. The fact that it is a multi BILLION $$ industry for 1 provider in one state and that it is not enough tells me a large piece of that money is not going to facilities and providers.

i wonder how much is spent on travelers instead of them giving raises to their perm staff to keep them. it's not unusual for staff to leave to other facilities because pay is 👎🏽
