Birth history is important! Did they stay in the NICU, were they premature, any traumatic events, jaundice/bowel obstructions/feeding ok/pooping and peeing ok/latching ok/do their siblings have any medical issues, do their parents? You asked a good question :)

as a mom of a baby who had a nicu stay, seizure, and brain surgery by 5 weeks old, it’s not a stupid question! my son already had a laundry list of medical history by 6 weeks old
