I liked him since I was in Grade 4, and he was in Grade 6 at the time. It was during the pandemic, and I started liking him when I met him at church. One day, my friend called him and introduced me to him, and we instantly became friends because we were in the same group. Every time there was a meeting at church, we would go there just to play. We even FaceTimed multiple times. We were basically inseparable. I really enjoyed those years, and honestly, I still miss them. But when I reached Grade 5, things slowly started to change because face-to-face classes came back. He’s two years older than me, so I guess he was slowly maturing. I kept messaging him because I thought the “old him” would come back, but eventually I stopped because his replies became colder and colder. Since then, I’ve secretly admired him from afar. I would always check his profile and reposts just to see how he was doing. Even though we still saw each other whenever there were activities at church, we never really talked anymore. I kept telling myself to stop liking him, but somehow I just couldn’t forget about him. Months passed, and I eventually lost interest after finding out that he already had a girlfriend, so I really did stop liking him. But then there was a training at our church, and we accidentally bumped into each other in the hallway. After that, my feelings for him came back again. It doesn’t feel like I’m longing for the past anymore—this feeling is different and new. And honestly, I don’t know what to do.
