I’m in my thirties but since losing weight and putting on a little muscle I get mistaken for late 20s

I don’t really see the point of working out? I can run a half marathon which is better for me than having slightly bigger biceps, I’m just not seeing the benefits of working out

You REALLY gotta make time for it when you have a full time job, a home to take care of, and kids to raise. I usually go during my lunch break because that’s pretty much my only window for free time.

At 42 I feel better now than I ever have. Haven't been to a gym in years, yet in the best shape of my life. I think there comes a point you find there is such a thing as over doing it.

If we continued to work out would 30 be peak? I feel like peak depends specifically on whether you continue to climb

I think this comes down to not fully understanding the difference between bodies in your 20s and your 30s. Even if someone is training consistently in both, there are natural changes in hormones, recovery, and overall development that you can’t judge just by appearance. By your 30s, you’re typically dealing with more mature muscle and greater bone density, which is a big part of what people mean when they talk about adult strength. It’s not always about looking leaner or more aesthetic. Comparing guys purely on body type misses that completely. Someone might look better in their 20s, but be noticeably stronger, denser, and more physically developed in their 30s.

its your view of someone being in physical prime that is the issue. not all bodies can look the same no matter how much exercise they do. someone who you think aren't in shape could still be in the best shape of that person's lifetime who exercises as much as what your view of physical prime is. your personal view of a physically attractive body

Working out was actually very rare twenty years ago, it's not as much a part of millennial culture. Also a lot of people with young children find it hard to find the time to go to the gym.

They probably don’t they just are young and wake up like that. I didn’t have to go to the gym at all in my 20s and I woke up with abs. It would’ve look like I trained all the time. Until about 27. Haha

It’s a time thing. In your 20 you have more time. In your 30s it changes… I didn’t think it would, but it does. Kids, work, life. You have more responsibilities the older you get.
