@j1_uy2: The desire to find meaning gnaws at our minds in this existence. Every time I wake up, I am afflicted with a kind of self-alienation as if I am detached from my body and I ask myself, what am I doing? What are these limbs called hands that I see and touch? what does touch even mean? What does it mean that I feel touch. Or question my mind, What does it mean that thoughts come to me? what does it mean that I talk to my mind which is me?! and which finds it difficult to analyze or understand anything and then I explain to myself the nature of things so that it understands them which is my mind. Is human consciousness a disaster for itself because it has become aware of an existence that it may not be able to understand? And since it can’t understand and comprehend it, questions and a feeling of alienation will accompany it. Camus says from this perspective that we must confront all this absurdity by accepting it through rebellion and by living the momentary experience. But is this philosophy sufficient to confront what gnaws at our minds and our attacks? Of course not. It is soothing but doesn’t work. What does it mean to rebel against existence and revolt against it by accepting it? To accept the fate of my inability to know the nature of existence and beings? To accept my despair in this absurdity that occurs within us and around us? Human acceptance and complete rebellion come through understanding what one rebels against and accepts. What do we truly understand about existence and about our universe whose limits we don’t know? Perhaps the issue of limits in this existence doesn’t exist, or it is impossible for us to understand it or reach that complete knowledge. What am I rebelling against and revolting against?! Why in my existence am I here?!!!! What does it mean to exist? And why does existence itself exist in its current form? Numerous philosophies and theories desperately attempt to answer these questions but to no avail. All we have now is empirical science, but its pace is incredibly slow and perhaps it will reach a point where our only glimmer of hope will vanish. The existential crisis will gnaw at every human being who is aware of their existence regardless of the philosophies they embrace or the pretense of immersion they make in lived experience. It will come as long as we are aware of ourselves and as long as we remain ignorant of this existence. #mind #human #consciousness #philosophy #fyp
whatever you are came from the nothingness that preceded your being. whatever you pass into is no greater or lesser than the nothingness you came from. it is enough, then, to understand a piece, and not the whole. when we assume this life is all we have, that there is no past, and no present, it fills us with the anxious desire to understand everything now. why am I? why do I feel? why will that feeling fade? why won't I be? if you accept that you were not, that you are, that you will not be, the certainty that you will never be again is erased. and in the loss of that certainty, it is enough to take a bite of infinity, rather than to swallow it whole. just my perspective
