I get a state pension of £870 month which I’ve had for almost a year, my wife is disabled with higher range of PIP. My wife is 49 years and disabled, I’ve been told we can’t claim anymore for my wife as my pension is the maximum, is this correct? We can’t manage on what we get?

I've just had the capacity for work done. No result as yet. I'm 59. Riddled with arthritis. Up for Tkr in a couple of months. Bad back due to injury and surgery. Both shoulders had operated on. And mental illness conditions.
