Crank position sensor, cam position sensor, I don’t think it’s a compression issue because if that was the case you could have tons of smoke coming out of the exhaust. The other thing to check is your fuel return line and see how much fuel is coming out of that and catch it into a container and make sure you catch all of it and then measure it out and depending on how much you have there versus how long it was cranking will tell you if you have bad injectors.

Sounds like it’s not firing the injectors bad compression it would still smoke. FICM controls injection on Lly and lb7

You know, my 05 did this. Got it running, ran for about 3 days. Backed it out the driveway and revved it up 3 times then it just shut off and hasn’t started back up. What did you end up finding out?

Best thing I can say with the whole ficm thing is I had zero codes and it’d go into tractor mode and then die but everytime I reset the ficm(turning the key off for 10-20 seconds) it’s refire on all cylinders for 10 minutes until one day I was taking to the shop to get fixed and it died and wouldn’t fire so ig you’ll have to check voltage out of the ficm to know if it is for sure bad

My grandpas truck did the same thing and I swapped his FICM and primed it did a re learn for it and it fired right up

I’d guess crank sensor or wiring to it. I’ve changed multiple new ones out because they went bad.
