I have a spreadsheet from when we were buying our house. most were 20ft long by 19ft (228in) wide. the average car is 76 inches wide with mirrors. 152in for 2 cars leaves you 25in on either side and the middle. the average car door needs 30-36in to open to comfortably exit. and to think, they didn't diagnose me as a kid

I saw a whole documentary a year or two on new homes where some were labelled 2car but they really measured to fit 1.5, lots of people got money back on the purchases through court. you might have a case here

My 2 car garage basically fits 0 normal cars because of how short it is front to back. My Subaru Outback technically fits but you couldn't walk around it from either direction if you shut the door and my explorer only fits if you park it diagonally. I know those aren't exactly small vehicles but if a "2 car garage" only fits compact cars then it shouldn't count.

Standard 2 car garage fits 2 mid sized vehicles with ease if you are able to park straight. Backing in helps if you’re coordinated enough for that.

This is actually true. Garages are smaller in newer homes. Same BS as parking spaces, the manufacturers push bigger cars, and the builders shrink parking space at the same time.

I had a "two-car" garage and a Hyundai Sonata. We were not fitting two cars in there and you couldn't walk around the car if the garage door was shut.
