@oghappycakes: 🥔🗓️23 day potato grow update. I planted chitted potatoes on March 1st and this is how they're looking. Healthy and thriving if you ask me. This is the first time I'm growing them in ground and it seems they love the native soil. I amended it with compost and a little peet moss for moisture retention and It turns out I have loam soil which is ideal for growing in ground. It has a perfect balance of clay, sand and silt. There was not as much clay as I originally anticipated. I extended this area for carrots and onion sets so be sure to check back for those updates. If I can do this you certainly can too! Have a soil test done and do a little research to figure out what your soil type is. It may be worth it to save money on bagged soil and start growing in ground. #growingfood #vegetablegarden #gardening #fyp #beginnergardener
