I have ended up.in multiple times and taken through the stroke protocol before being told it is another hemiplegic migraine. I suffer almost daily with varying levels of symptoms, tried more medications than I can list and still undergoing investigations and medication changes to improve my quality of life.

I was misdiagnosed with HM the first time I went to the ER with issues in 2019. It was actually a type of epilepsy…we figured this out this year.

taken me over a year to get a diagnosis. they thought it was a stroke and tests clear. I lost my speech and coordination ( the latter for 4 months) not one Dr could agree

My daughter had a hemiplegic migraine at 10 - her friends mum called me as she thought she was having a stroke. Headache, slurred and confused speech, weakness in hands was awful! Had to take her to an and e. 3 years on and no more since 🤞🤞

haven’t gone to the er for migraines yet, but i did have a shit migraine weekend in november that made me pass out and throw up without realizing it and the day after i apparently had multiple seizures and woke up in the hospital

I get these. It can start with a tingling tongue and tingling fingers. Then like a stroke I can’t speak or have any hand coordination. I came to my own diagnosis as no one wanted to say. I get them every ten years. Bad migraines make me vomit and have tunnel vision. About once a year. Menopause has made them worse🥰

I had facial numbness bp was sky high doc sent me hosp for a scan they checked me over didn’t scan said was a migraine attack had me lay in a dark room and sent me home I’ve been before with a migraine so bad like I had been hit round the head throbbing it was my bp they said had me meds but made the heads worse

same situation....taken to hospital from the office in an ambulance with a suspected stroke....turned out to be hemiplegic migraines and pituitary tumours!

Yes I have, 2 weeks ago, I couldn’t talk, tunnel vision, weak left side, right side twitching, went to the ER the have me IV TNK, after a while I was fine, still twitching, the gave me clonazepan to stop the twitching.Doctors said everything is fine. MRI fine, EKG fine you have nothing, 2 days later they send me home.
