I have a different take. Dating is hard. I’ve had many talking stages end after 2-3 months and that shit’s kinda heartbreaking and it distracts me from my startup for a while - harder for founders because we need to be self motivated while going thru a breakup

I normally agree with your takes, but disagree with you here. When I was young and busy with my startup, I would have sucked as a partner. I later sold my co, had the time to take my relationship with my now-wife seriously, and am a stay-at-home dad having a ton of fun raising kids now. For some people, doing things in series works better than parallel.

I understand his point. As someone in a relationship and in a relationship with someone cares about and with HUGE career goals. It makes things hard at times but the best thing you can do is try to find a way to maintain

Who’s to say either you or he has life figured out. You live life on your terms and so does he. If this is his choice, he’s clear about it and he’s happy with it, power to him.

Does he say he thinks the point of life is building toward series b? What if he just wants momentum in his company before he starts a family?

He’s right. Family is great, I love mine, but they definitely impact your productivity. You have such limited time when you’re young to get established when you are only responsible for yourself. Nothing wrong with taking advantage of that time.

It’s hard to build a family on startup salary yo. I don’t disagree. You might also have whole lot of growing up to do. It is apparent.

I dig your content, but this is a clear disconnect for me. It’s exactly what a young and hungry dreamer should be doing at the most foundational stage of their life. IMO.
