I already had the talk in the car ride home after baseball practice. I talked about body changes, hair growth, erections and why they happen, hormones and body odor, sperm where it comes from, the egg and fertilization, safe sex, and sexually transmitted infections.

Let him read it in privacy..it would be so uncomfortable to have your mom read it with you.. I bought my daughter a similar book, and I told her that I was always here for her if she wanted to talk, but she was embarrassed to read it with me..yeah, she came to me when she wanted to talk

Have a conversation with them. Start early and talk often. Expand the convo as they age. If you’re waiting until puberty to have the convo you’re failing as a parent.

I dont have a book. I just dont knock when I walk in. We have had lots of convos about that. Or I try to clean his room when he is in there. He won’t let me touch his underwear. So same!

I've spoken to my son since he could understand and I update the knowledge as he asks questions and we have spoken about puberty for the last 2 years. he's now 10. he has the books but we have spoken openly about our bodies his whole life so he just asks me his... umm... very 10 year old questions 🤣🤣🤣 we also go to zoos and our friends all have farm animals so he's learned a lot there as well

i spoke to my son from an early age about his body changes and about consent…he’s always been comfortable to come to me about any “weird” thing happening with his body.. he’s always will be 17 in November …
