In the first one you are just straight up loading the context window. For this type of memory system you need to think about more comprehensive design that will tell him exactly when to use each part and parts of his memory every time that he needs to use them without just straight up blowing in his own context window with a ton of sheet of junk files.

That Claude.md is gonna kill your context hella quick, much better to have a confidence level for facts taken from chat summary and store that via obsidians local rest api.

Mans has unlimited Claude usage or just unlimited api money. lol persistent memory that’s just a long md file is crazy work. You have to create a system for persistent memory or you wind up with a 40k token startup by week 2.

I think using something like obsidian is better to save decisions and create memories of your sessions. It is just native markdown files and lives as a folder on your pc.

Like my system for that, it's not complex; it's just a straight-up system mapping. That's for me. I find it the best way to load memory and files. You need to find a more comprehensive design for that. I'm not telling that's bad because this function is really good but you need to do it in the right way.
