When all three work together, outfits feel “cool.” Here are 3 tips for spring when you can’t rely on layers: 1. Accessories become your three forces Shoes: Dainty/ballerina/loafer adds class. Sneaker or flip-flop adds ease. Funky shoe adds edge. Bags: Choose a bag that contrasts the vibe of your outfit. Casual bag with classy outfit, polished bag with easy outfit, funky bag with classic outfit. Other: Funky sunglasses/brooches/jewelry for edge. Classy beret/pillbox hat/silky scarf for class. Baseball cap for ease. 2. Create fabric or proportional contrast Pair rigid denim with silky top for ease and class contrast. Trendy trouser (balloon pants, barrel leg, capris) with classic top like crisp shirt. Mix textures, silhouettes, and vibes to hit multiple forces. 3. Hairstyle Casual outfit? Lovely blowout for class. Polished outfit? Messy hair or sportier ponytail for ease. Want edge? Try a hair accessory or new braid/bun style.
