The Noriega point pools are good and if you are a really good swimmer going just along the rocks on the outside of those pools is great but only for strong swimmers and i highly recommend having fins. We have done it multiple times but at certain times the current can be pretty strong heading out towards the jetty finger I think you are speaking about here.
