I think the ending make sense, even if denji have beaten all the bug devils there Yoru would still battle him endlessly, if he lost pochita would eat himself again, and if he won he wouldn’t be able to eat or kill yoru since it’ll kill asa too, and he can’t spit out death for the world to return normal since the prophecy would happen or yoru would succeed in turning death hers and kill denji, which might also result in pochita sacrificing himself and eating himself
