My step-grandmother was Yaqui, and she would always tried to talk to us about herbs. I remember once we were driving by a casino and she made my dad pull over so she could go get something from a tree. I wish she would have taught us.

My great grandma from michoacanwas a curandera & also could see the future. People came to her & use their hand too. She grabbed it & told u things about you. My sisters & I can see ghosts & get visions but we hate it. We don’t practice it or anything.

Thank you for sharing! I am adopted, but know my grandmother is from the Yaqui tribe. I don’t know much about it other than some stuff I’ve looked up on my own. I’ve always been curious if there were healers in our family and have been interested in herbalism myself. it’s really cool to hear all this.

I’m Pasqua Yaqui, my nana used to tell me about curanderas from Sonora. She told me how they helped my tia abuela with infertility. She ended up with ten kids!

My great grandmother was Yaqui. She had cures for everything. I met her a handful of times. I later started practicing natural remedies. I wish I would have been able to see her more.
