That’s how I started to feel as a CNA I was burnt out and I would talk to the residents they would always make me feel better and we would talk and talk about everything… but I knew that would only last so long and I had to leave before they noticed my anger from being short staffed and worn down. I don’t regret my decision but I do miss them everyday!! One of my faves just passed and I was so sad just thinking of the memories of her chasing me 😂🤣🤣 tryna pinch me and then get a kiss! Haha

This was me with my mommy day in and out 24/7 without any real help until almost the end. I miss her so much and it’s been days I’d yell, fuss, and storm off smh. I know I’ve hurt her feelings many times because it’s not like she chose this. I’m glad I was able to apologize to her and express all my love long before she passed.

My mother has lived with Multiple Sclerosis for as long as I have been alive. I know her hands, her smile, her laugh, her wit. I have never had to wonder whether she loved me. Caregiving is its own education: new systems, new roles, a new vocabulary for love. The grief and logistics overlap. What helped me find my footing was organization—not control, because there is no controlling this, but a place to put the work outside your head so you have room left for the person.
