So, the plastic peg that sticks up is intended to bust the plastic plug out of the center of that cap.... Meaning you don't break the seal, you let the weight of the jug break it's own seal. No muss. No fuss. Hope that helps.

Based off the beginning of the video I am assuming you refilled at an osmosis machine (bad for kidneys water) and thats why the cap center seal is open… you can buy silicone replacement lids on the tik tok shop that allow you to reseal the small hole and other places… the silicone lid also allows you to have a larger hole for refilling with the lid off then you seal it flip it and it pushes the center open

you don't push the cap in before you put it up there. the water cooler has a shaft that pushes the cap in.

Like the first comment.. there is a seal that is meant to be broken when you put it inside the dispenser. This causing no water to spill. lol
