It’s perfect… but not for electric generation, you need to pair it with an A/C compressor and then it would be perfect for a small camper or camping trailer, the biggest problem with campers is the power draw for the A/C, but direct to mechanical compression takes a lot of the extra energy loss out of the system. It doesn’t make sense to go from fuel energy to electric energy via alternator then to battery, then to electric motor, then to compressor. The fuel efficiency of this engine and the amount of btus it can push would be perfect for a small A/C system. You’d still need a small alternator to run the evaporator, condeser and radiator fans. But how reliable are these diesels? Are they kubota/perkins/yanmar? Or China’s finest? Are they mechanically injected so they can run on clean WMO?
