i really love your energy, I use 6 months to get to hsk 4 currently, it's not easy to study alone. I haven't known all the characters cuz I focus more on the pinyin.

speaking is different from character writing, you don't speak Chinese by writing character, you speak by everyday speaking attempts. as much as you trying to encourage new student am of the opinion, they deserve to know the reality so that they can prepare their minds. if you must learn Chinese, don't think it's a cozy road, prepare for everyday diligent study, most importantly, your heart and mind must be there else you would learn but never speak, brotherly advice.
