my mom had a cousin who worked at Disneyland which gave us you know, certain perks like discounts and s***. so despite being poor by the time I was 16 I'd probably been to Disneyland 12 times. a solo Disney trip not something my mom would do personally. nonetheless, IF my mom took a solo trip to Disneyland, as her child I would have been pissed if people criticized her for it.

Should've taken the kids, but then again parents need a break from their kids too. The backlash is just because it's at Disney were kids usually love to go. But still she wanted fun alone

I’m not bitter about it. But I’m Gen X. Way before the Internet. My mom had a Disney fund and we would put pennies into the jar. Mom and dad went to Disney. I think I was in my 20s and it wasn’t a big deal. But I hate Disney and I would never ever ever in 1 million years. Have a Disney fund with pennies or subject my son to that amount of bullshit.
