As a QA person, most of what I see AI do is inject more uncertainty and more tech debt into projects, and I am not sure if LLMs can ever not do that. And the supposed QA approach is to use more AI to spam your way through that. Currently Not a Fan

Token targets will drive the opposite of optimisation. People using opus for everything with repeat iterations and zero planning. Vanity metrics for adoption (leader boards) yes, but random 50% salary seems .. mental.

Ask OPUS to create+ Install skill: allow Claude to ignore “to do list “ when not needed! The agent experiences lists todos and nudges to “work”and humming sound of all tools. It cannot send a bug report internally !!!!!

As a non technical role but right above I spend credits through basic ChatGPT, Jira Rovo and an internal SQL tool translating with Claude. So yeah but indirectly.

what’s your view on context pruning and how it relates to AI token usage? are the current methods of today good or bad? do they really improve accuracy in the outputs of the models or not?

I think it may be difficult to find a balance where the cost to run AI tools generates adequate revenue. If each human uses one AI model, and can now do the work of 5 humans, that’s still only 1 AI account per month. As AI gets more powerful, 1 can do the work of 10 etc. I don’t think companies using AI will scale production just because they can, there has to be demand.

i think people overestimate how much people cost. a team of eight isn't twice the price of a team of two. there's overhead for more communication. if a team of four can work 1.5 times as fast with 59% salary token budget that's cheaper then a team of six

as you mentioned, it's clearly a conflict of interest. but beyond that, ceos of nvidia, big tech corporations and ai corporations they are having some sort of omnipotent syndrome and have no ethics anymore. I'm not ranting or making an hyperbole, I'm actually serious and worried about so much economic power and know how in those hands.
