Pilgrims from around the world visit Madina during Hajj and Umrah to experience its peaceful atmosphere and visit landmarks like Quba Mosque, Qiblatain Mosque, and Mount Uhud. With its rich Islamic heritage, spiritual ambiance, and modern amenities, Madina is a must-visit city for Muslim travelers. Plan your trip to Madina for a deeply spiritual and culturally enriching experience. The Umrah is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, often referred to as the "lesser pilgrimage." Unlike the Hajj, which is mandatory for all capable Muslims and performed only during a specific time of the year, Umrah is voluntary and can be performed at any time of the year. While it is not one of the five pillars of Islam, Umrah holds great spiritual significance. Muslims perform Umrah to seek forgiveness for sins, purify their hearts, and gain immense blessings from Allah. It is a highly recommended act of worship. The Key Rituals of Umrah The Umrah is a simpler and shorter pilgrimage than the Hajj, consisting of four main rituals: Ihram: This is the first step, where pilgrims enter a state of ritual purity. Men wear two unstitched white cloths, and women wear modest, regular clothing that covers their entire body except for their face and hands. This state symbolizes equality and humility before God. Tawaf: Upon arriving at the Grand Mosque in Mecca, pilgrims perform Tawaf. This involves walking seven times in a counter-clockwise direction around the Kaaba, the cube-shaped building at the center of the mosque. Each circuit is accompanied by prayers and supplications. Sa'i: After completing the Tawaf, pilgrims perform Sa'i. This is a ritual that commemorates the search for water by Hajar (the wife of Prophet Ibrahim) for her son Ismail. Pilgrims walk quickly between the two small hills, Safa and Marwa, seven times. Halq or Taqseer: The Umrah concludes with the shaving or trimming of the hair. Men typically shave their heads completely (Halq), while women trim a small lock of their hair (Taqseer). This act symbolizes spiritual renewal and the end of the state of Ihram. @Muhammad Yameen
