Hot tip if you take a little needle and put a pen prick at the top of each stem, they will stay upright and last longer because they don’t get as bogged down with water by letting a little air in. works like a charm every time

I worked for a wedding for us when I was in interior design school as an intern good trick for tulips take a straight pen in an inch down from the head stick the pin in and then pull it out. It helps the water get to the actual flower betterif you don’t want them to go all curly and wavy you put in a pinch of cornstarch.

I’ve worked at the florist and they thought me only to cut them straight unlike roses and to put only the feet in the water, because the more water you add the more they will bloom.

Worked for a florist in high school and we always had to cut the flower stems in water or under running water. No idea if it helps but 30 years later I still do it. 😊

I love tulips 🌷. I add a few drops of bleach (1/4 tsp) to the water in my vases as well as a tsp of sugar and a tsp on lemon juice. Makes the flowers last so long.
