I quit cigarettes in 2024 and switched to vaping. Fast forward to Dec 2025, I was told I had to quit nicotine for an upcoming surgery. And I only had 2 weeks to do so because I had to be 2 weeks nicotine free for my preop appointment. I went and bought a 0 nicotine vape and alternated between the 2 different vapes. Once my regular vape ran out, I just continued on with my 0 nicotine and it worked wonders. I haven't had nicotine since Dec 31st, and haven't had a vape in my hand since January 14th. Do I miss it? Absolutely! But it took me 20 years of trying to quit to be forced into it, successfully.
